Valhalla Studio > AboutAnders started as a professional photographer in 1979 in Winnipeg. He did crime scene photography, fashion photography, weddings and portraits. He later moved to the Interlake in 1981, where he set up a photo studio on first avenue in Gimli.
In 1985, he expanded and opened up a studio in Arborg, as well as a Sears Outlet. At one point, his studio had seven professional photographers working with him.
In 1990, Anders entered a national photography contest for Sooter's Studios and won in every category (baby portrait, family portrait, wedding, commercial, and scenery).
Then, in 1993, he sold the Arborg studio and opened up Valhalla Studio at the Lakeview Resort in Gimli.
In 2004, he sold his studio and moved to work out of his home in Siglavik, where he set up an online business after converting to digital photography. He uses a Nikon D200 as well as several other cameras. He continues to produce high-quality photography with the help of his wife Amanda.
Anders considers his style to be contemporary with classic elements. The most popular photos that clients request are portraits on scenic Lake Winnipeg.
